Ken Wilson, Making Sense Of Uncertainty
Ecclesiastes 9:11-18

Life is Unpredictable (9:11-12)
There are no guarantees in Life! (v. 11)
* speed when it counts does not guarantee a win.
* power when it's needed does not guarantee a victory.
* cunning when it is appropriate does not guarantee provision.
* insight when the bottom line is seen does not guarantee right choice
* skill at just the right time does not guarantee favor or recognition

Life is More than Dumb Luck! (v. 12)
* We don't know!
* God does know!

Wisdom is Unappreciated (9:13-18)
There are no guarantees for Wisdom! (vv. 13-15)
* Wisdom may come from an unexpected source (vv. 13-15)
* Wisdom may not be remembered (v. 15)

Wisdom is still the better way to live! (vv. 16-18)
* Wisdom > Strength (v. 16)
* Quiet words of wisdom > Boisterous Shouting (v. 17)
* Wisdom > Weapons (v. 18)
